Chef Darren MacLean first met Chef Naoto Kishimoto in Tokyo, and was captured right away, by the precision of his cooking and the way he connects with every guest at his counter. Bringing that to Calgary was the whole point.
Naoto brought an energy to Eight that the room felt from the first course. Twelve consecutive years of Michelin recognition at L’Embellir, and still cooking with the charisma of someone who loves every minute of it. Alongside him, sous chef and pâtissier Natsuko Takahashi, carrying the evening through to its final sweet note.
