Today is the launch party for our Hojicha Highball in collaboration with Cold Garden!!
This summer, our hojicha from Kyoto Zuisyoen travelled roughly 8,000 km from the middle of Kyoto to Calgary. From the Shinkansen to a @westjet flight, eventually landing in the hands of the good people at Cold Garden.
If you’ve been to Japan, you probably know the classic highball. Whisky and soda. Straight up. We took that idea and gave it a little twist with roasted Japanese hojicha.
The hojicha comes from @kyoto_zuisyoen , a tea shop in Kyoto that also happens to supply one of our favourite neighbourhood bars, where they serve a whisky highball of their own. This is a little nod to them, and to our neighbourhood in Kyoto.
A little piece of Kyoto, now in Calgary. Hope you get a taste of it too.

Limited quantities of Shiki Menya Premium Ramen Cups will also be available.
Starting Monday, October 19, the Hojicha Highball will be available at both Shiki Menya and Cold Garden.
